Hiring Process

Deployment of New/Transfer Foreign Domestic Workers (FDW)
We have Foreign Domestic Workers (FDWs) from Indonesia and Myanmar. Some FDWs may have prior experience in Singapore previously.

Typical deployment time:
• New FDWs: around 2-3 months for straightforward cases.
• Transfer FDWs: can be deployed relatively fast and may take 4-5 working days.
• FDWs hired on Advance Placement Scheme: can be deployed as quickly as 3 days.
Do note that there are factors which may delay or expedite the deployment time (e.g. adhering to embassy processes).

Direct Hire of FDW
If you do have someone in mind to hire in the source country but are unsure of the process, we would be able to help you with the necessary application processes at the source country and while in Singapore.

Advanced Placement Scheme (APS)
Starting as a pilot scheme in 2016, the Advance Placement Scheme (APS) allows employment agencies to source for and bring in a specific number of FDWs before they have found an employer. Eligible employers will be able to conduct face-to-face interviews to select the FDWs that best meet their requirements. As these FDWs are already in Singapore, they can be quickly deployed to households.

Employers must meet the requirements for the FDW Concessionary Levy Scheme in order to qualify for APS.

Security Bond Medical and Personal Accident Insurance Coverage
MOM regulations require you to buy a Security Bond for your FDW before she arrives in Singapore. This is a binding pledge to pay the government in the event your FDW breaks the work permit conditions.

Both Medical and Personal Accident Insurance for your FDW is necessary as part of your medical obligations during the helper’s employment in your household.

We work with one of the major insurance providers in Singapore and will assist you in purchasing the necessary coverage.

Medical Check-up
As part of our services, we will ensure that all FDWs go for their medical examination to screen for infectious diseases and pregnancies. The medical examination must be performed by a Singapore-registered medical professional. This happens when they arrive and every six months.

Employers have to bear the costs for the medical examination, and any medical expenses arising from the screening. If you want more details on the health of your FDW, you may send her for a more thorough medical examination.
